Bahrain Gears Up for Asian Youth Games with Influx of Delegations

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to welcome participating sports delegations for the Asian Youth Games, as Bahrain International Airport witnesses increased activity with the arrival of teams ahead of the continental event, set to begin on Sunday.

According to Bahrain News Agency, on Friday, delegations from several countries arrived, including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Thailand, Iran, the UAE, the Philippines, and Pakistan. They were received by representatives from the reception, public relations, and transport committees, who facilitated entry procedures and provided transport services to accommodation sites under a pre-arranged plan ensuring the comfort of all delegations.

An atmosphere of excitement and hospitality prevailed at the airport as athletes expressed their delight at participating in this major Asian sporting event hosted by Bahrain for the first time, looking forward to delivering strong performances in the competitions.

More delegations are expected to arrive on Saturday ahead of the official start of the competitions. The organising committees have completed all preparations to ensure a successful launch of the Games, which represent an important milestone in the development of youth sports across Asia.
