Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours, highlighting significant diplomatic meetings and economic developments in the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held discussions with the Saudi Foreign Minister and received the annual report of the Shura and Representatives Councils for the third session of the sixth legislative term. In addition, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister met with the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Bahrain and also held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The newspapers also reported on His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad's statement that cycling tours are a promising platform for discovering talents, as well as His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad receiving the Capital Governor. Bahrain extended congratulations to Egypt on its candidate's election as UNESCO Director-General.
In other diplomatic engagements, the Legal Affairs Minister received an advisor from the Bangladeshi Ministry of Law, and the Justice Minister also met with the same advisor. The Housing Minister participated in the Urban Planning, Housing, and Construction Exhibition and Conference in Muscat and discussed cooperation with the Omani housing minister, focusing on sustainable urban development.
The economic landscape was also a focus, with reports of Bahrain's economy achieving real growth of 2.5% in the second quarter of 2025. The Municipalities Ministry announced registration for the 13th Farmers' Market, and Government Hospitals signed an agreement with Batelco to upgrade communication systems in the healthcare sector. Lastly, Bahrain participated in the first Legislative Parliamentary Forum, and the EWA President received the UN-Habitat Representative to the GCC States.
