Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on local events that happened over the past 24 hours.
According to Bahrain News Agency, a key topic of concern is Bahrain’s expression of deep apprehension over Iranian threats to close the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime passage for global oil shipments.
The newspapers also highlighted the visit of the Jordanian Monarch to Bahrain. HM King welcomed the Jordanian Monarch upon arrival, held talks, and later bid farewell to him, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
In terms of regional security, the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command reported the destruction of 129 missiles and 233 drones since the onset of Iranian attacks. Additionally, Bahrain condemned the continued Iranian attacks on civilian facilities and property in the UAE, as well as a sabotage terrorist plot targeting the security of Kuwait.
The Arab Network General Assembly has called for an international investigation into the Iranian attacks on Arab states, reflecting the regional concern over escalating tensions.
Moreover, an extraordinary meeting of GCC health undersecretaries was chaired by the Health Undersecretary, addressing pressing health issues within the Gulf Cooperation Council member states.
