Kuwait city: Bahrain’s national powerlifting team emerged victorious at the fourth Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Championship held in Kuwait, securing a total of 14 medals. The team delivered impressive performances, winning 8 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this achievement underscores the rapid development of powerlifting in Bahrain. The victory is credited to the team’s robust technical and preparation programmes, which have bolstered the country’s aspirations for continued success in future competitions.
Bahraini athletes shone across the Full Power, Body Power, and Light Power categories, clinching several gold medals in different weight classes. Notably, in the open weight category, Sayed Majeed Al Aali distinguished himself by earning a silver and a bronze medal, contributing to the team’s overall success.
