Manama: Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), recently received Lieutenant General Eid bin Awad Al Shalawi, Commander of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Unified Military Command. Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, BDF Chief of Staff, attended the meeting. According to Bahrain News Agency, the BDF Commander-in-Chief awarded the Order of Bahrain-First Class to Lt. Gen. Al Shalawi. This prestigious honour was bestowed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. During the ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief conveyed greetings and appreciation from His Majesty the King to Lt. Gen. Al Shalawi, acknowledging his significant contributions to strengthening cooperation and coordination in military and defense matters within the GCC framework.
