Manama: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has announced that its air defence systems have successfully intercepted and destroyed 188 ballistic missiles and 445 drones since the onset of hostile terrorist attacks attributed to Iranian forces. The BDF's continuous efforts are aimed at safeguarding the Kingdom of Bahrain from these persistent threats. According to Bahrain News Agency, the General Command expressed its pride in the combat readiness and vigilance shown by BDF personnel. The effective operations of Bahrain's forces have reinforced confidence in the security of the Kingdom's airspace. The General Command commended the personnel for their operational effectiveness and commitment to defending the nation. The General Command also issued a public advisory urging citizens and residents to remain cautious for their personal safety. It advised the public to avoid affected areas, refrain from photographing military operations or debris sites, and not to spread unverified information. Instead, people are encouraged to rely on official and government media channels for accurate updates and advisories. The General Command highlighted the serious implications of using ballistic missiles and drones against civilian areas and private property, deeming them violations of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. These actions are seen as direct threats to regional peace and security.
