Bahrain Condemns Terrorist Attack on Barakah Nuclear Plant, Reaffirms Full Solidarity

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has issued a strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist drone attack targeting the United Arab Emirates, which resulted in a fire at the perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant located in the Al Dhafra region.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain emphasized that the attack represents a blatant violation of international law, the UN Charter, the principles of good neighborliness, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817. The Ministry praised the air defense forces of Abu Dhabi for their professional response and swift precautionary measures, which ensured the highest safety standards were maintained, with no casualties or impact on radiological safety levels.

The Ministry reaffirmed Bahrain's unwavering solidarity with the UAE, expressing its full support for all legitimate measures undertaken to protect the UAE's sovereignty, security, and crucial infrastructure from ongoing aggression. It highlighted that this position is based on long-standing ties and reiterated its call for improved regional and international cooperation to safeguard civilians and essential facilities, thereby sustaining global and regional peace.
