Bahrain Condemns Iranian Attacks on Kuwait Involving Missiles and Drones

Manama: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's strong condemnation and denunciation of the renewed Iranian terrorist attacks against the State of Kuwait involving missiles and drones, stressing that they constitute a flagrant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as a breach of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, the principles of good-neighborliness, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817. The attacks also violate the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and undermine efforts to de-escalate tensions and strengthen regional security and stability.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and its complete support for all legitimate measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. It commended the efficiency, vigilance, and high readiness of Kuwait's air defenses in intercepting the hostile attacks, and reiterated Bahrain's call for Iran to uphold its obligations under international law and relevant international resolutions and understandings, cease its attacks against the countries and peoples of the region, and ensure the security and safety of maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, in a manner that contributes to strengthening regional and international peace, security, and stability.
