Bahrain Clear and Bahrain Chamber Host Workshop on Private Market Opportunities

Manama: As part of the collaborative efforts between Bahrain Clear and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a workshop focusing on the Bahrain Private Market was organized for chamber members. The workshop is part of an initiative designed to educate closed joint-stock companies about the market's offerings and services.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the workshop provided attendees with insights into the platform's features and services tailored for closed joint-stock companies. Key aspects discussed included the benefits of joining the platform and the steps required for registration. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment addressing participants' inquiries.

Abdulla Abdin, Chief Operating Officer of Bahrain Clear, highlighted that the Bahrain Private Market platform offers a suite of services for closed joint-stock companies, such as shareholder custody and management, transparent settlement operations, cash dividend distribution, and advanced digital solutions, including electronic general assemblies, electronic voting, and stock auctions. The platform aims to equip closed companies with tools to manage their ownership efficiently.

Atef Al Khaja, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized that the event supports the chamber's mission to bolster the private sector and increase members' awareness of opportunities and services that aid business growth. He expressed the chamber's commitment to collaborating with strategic partners to create educational platforms for member companies.

Bahrain Clear launched the Bahrain Private Market in August 2022 and has since conducted workshops to highlight its features and services, including transaction processing, linking, management, and execution through the platform.
