Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution CEO Engages in Arbitration Conference at Cairo University

Cairo: Ahmed Husain Abdulrahman, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR), participated in the "Arbitration in Investment Contracts: Applications in International Construction Contracts and Oil and Gas Contracts" conference held at Cairo University in Egypt. His contribution was as a speaker in the second panel discussion titled "The Role of Arbitration Centres in Resolving International Construction and Oil and Gas Disputes," where he shared insights into the experience and jurisdiction of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution and its operational mechanisms.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Abdulrahman highlighted the significance of collaboration among Arab arbitration centres to improve the arbitration and investment environment across the region. The event was attended by a diverse group of lawyers, practitioners, academics, and international experts, including Professor Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, and Professor Dr. Abdel Halim Allam, President of the Arab Lawyers Union.

The participation of Bahrain in this conference aims to build professional connections and strengthen ties with Egypt and other countries in the region. This engagement is part of Bahrain's efforts to enhance its presence on specialised regional and international platforms in the fields of arbitration and law.
