Manama: Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Telecommunications at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, chaired the Legislation and Regulation of Telecommunications Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting, held via video conference.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on the current developments concerning telecommunications infrastructure amidst the ongoing Iranian attacks on GCC countries. The discussions also encompassed broader regional and international developments in the telecommunications sector.
Participants in the meeting reviewed the level of preparedness across GCC states and telecommunications operators. They also approved business continuity plans aimed at addressing operational challenges in telecom services to ensure the continuity and efficiency of vital services.
