Bahrain chairs GCC ambassadors’ meeting in Brusselsx

Bahrain’s Ambassador to Brussels, accredited to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of Denmark and Representative to the European Union and NATO, Dr. Bahia Jawad Al-Jishi, chaired the periodic meeting of the Council of Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council states accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium.

Dr. Bahia Al-Jish affirmed Bahrain’s interest as the current GCC President, on developing relations with Europe, as it is one of the pillars of international policy, noting that views were exchanged on strengthening Gulf-European relations.

The ambassadors discussed the aspects of cooperation and coordination they reached through continuous dialogue with the European External Action Service at the European Commission and the European Parliament.

The meeting reviewed the most prominent developments on the regional and European arenas and the relations of joint cooperation between the GCC countries and the EU with all its institutions and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve common interests.
