Manama: Bahrain Bourse, a licensed exchange regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain, has concluded a five-day strategic visit to the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) as part of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two exchanges, reinforcing regional capital market cooperation through knowledge sharing and the exchange of information. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Bourse delegation included representatives from the Partnership Development, Risk and Compliance, Listing and Disclosure, and Trading Operations divisions. During the visit, the delegation held discussions with counterparts at MSX on topics related to the Capital Market Development Plan 2026-2028, with a focus on enhancing market infrastructure, operational excellence, and sustainable capital market development. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, stated that the visit reflects Bahrain Bourse's commitment to strengthening regional cooperation and exchanging expertise to support the development of G CC capital markets. He noted that benchmarking against regional peer exchanges helps identify opportunities to enhance services, strengthen market resilience, and support innovation. Bahrain Bourse values its cooperation with MSX and looks forward to further collaboration for the benefit of both markets. Haitham bin Salem Al Salmi, CEO of Muscat Stock Exchange, mentioned that the visit reflects the strong relationship between the two exchanges and their shared commitment to expanding cooperation and knowledge exchange to support the continued development of regional capital markets. He added that the visit provided an opportunity to discuss initiatives of mutual interest and exchange best practices to enhance market infrastructure and operational efficiency.
