Sanya: Bahrain's national beach handball team began technical preparations for participation in the Asian Beach Games, to be held in Sanya from April 22 to 30, following the arrival of the Kingdom's delegation at the athletes' village. The Bahraini delegation settled into the athletes' village, with entry procedures completed smoothly under the supervision of Ahmed Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar, Head of Delegation, and Maryam Mardana, Deputy Head. An inspection tour of the village facilities and services reflected a high level of organisational readiness.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the administrative team ensured that players' accommodation was fully prepared with all necessary requirements and provided detailed briefings on training schedules and participation guidelines to support optimal preparation for the competitions. On the technical side, the national team conducted a series of training sessions at Tianya Haijiao venue, focusing on physical and technical aspects, alongside recreational activities that contributed to boosting team morale.
The team also played two friendly matches against Oman as part of its preparation programme, which reflected positive indicators in terms of team cohesion and performance development. Bahrain will continue intensive training ahead of the official start of competitions on April 21, under the leadership of head coach Hussein Al Qaidoum, assisted by Jaafar Abbas, with Fahad Jassim serving as team administrator. The squad includes ten players expected to deliver strong performances during the tournament.
