Bahrain and UAE Forge Ahead with Tourism Cooperation Programme.

Manama: Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have formalized an executive programme for tourism cooperation spanning from 2024 to 2028. This initiative is part of the Bahraini-Emirati Joint Ministerial Committee's agenda and marks a significant step in the bilateral relations between the two nations. The agreement was signed by Bahrain's Minister of Tourism, Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, and the UAE's Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri. According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Sairafi emphasized the historic ties between Bahrain and UAE, which are nurtured under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. She acknowledged the instrumental support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, in furthering collaborative efforts to ach ieve mutual objectives. Al Sairafi described the executive programme as a pivotal move to enhance tourism collaboration, focusing on sustainable growth and exploring new opportunities for joint ventures. The initiative aims to bolster the standing of both countries as leading tourism destinations through several core strategies, including the joint promotion of each nation's unique tourism assets, specialized training programs to advance skills in tourism and hospitality, and the exchange of expertise and knowledge. These measures are designed to deepen tourism integration and strengthen the bonds between Bahrain and the UAE, as noted by Al Sairafi. The programme is expected to pave the way for increased tourism activity and economic benefits for both countries, reinforcing their positions on the global tourism map.
