Bahrain and UAE Envoys Discuss Strait of Hormuz Resolution with Russian Official

Moscow: Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps, and Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation, met with Alexander Alimov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation for International Organizations, in Moscow. The meeting focused on a draft resolution submitted by Bahrain to the United Nations Security Council regarding the protection of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a key international waterway, under Bahrain's current presidency of the Council.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Saati informed the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister about Bahrain's stance, highlighting the need for international agreement on maintaining the principles of international law to ensure the stability of global trade. The Russian side reiterated its commitment to maintaining strong relations with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and condemned attacks in the region. It also emphasized the importance of resuming normal navigation through the Strait in line with international law.
