Kuala Lumpur: During an official visit to Malaysia by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Malaysia. The MoU focuses on cooperation in civil service human resource management.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the MoU was signed by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz, Malaysia's Director General of the Public Service Department. The signing took place in the presence of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and reflects the commitment of both nations to enhancing bilateral ties and supporting government modernization.
Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau, highlighted that the agreement marks a significant step in Bahrain-Malaysia collaboration in public sector human resources. A joint working team will be formed to implement the agreement's provisions, focusing on priority areas and launching initiatives aligned with international standards.
The agreement includes cooperation in policy planning, innovation in public administration, performance management, recruitment systems, compensation frameworks, and digital platforms in employee management. It also emphasizes professional ethics, institutional psychology, and leadership development within the civil service.
The MoU outlines practical mechanisms such as study visits, expert exchanges, collaboration between training institutes, short-term training programs, and joint comparative research projects. These initiatives aim to enhance national workforce competence and equip them with modern management tools.
