Bahrain All Share Index Sees Slight Decline Amid Consumer Staples Drop

Manama: Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,980.07 points, marking a decrease of 0.09 points below the previous closing. This decrease was attributed to a drop in the consumer staples sector.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Islamic Index, however, experienced a rise, closing at 829.55 points, which is an increase of 4.93 points from its previous closing. The market saw a total of 114 equity transactions carried out with a trading volume of 1,539,682 and a value of BD 958,384.

Investors showed a strong preference for the material sector, which accounted for 59.34% of the total value of securities traded.
