Bahrain All Share Index Declines as Islamic Index Sees Modest Gain

Manama: The Bahrain All Share Index closed at 2,005.85 points, registering a decline of 6.10 points from the previous closing. This downturn was driven by decreases in the consumer discretionary, financial, and materials sectors. Conversely, the Bahrain Islamic Index experienced an uptick, closing at 778.79 points, which is an increase of 0.56 points. According to Bahrain News Agency, market activity saw 45 equity transactions with a trading volume of 687,282, amounting to BD 272,836. The financial sector emerged as the most active, accounting for 40% of the total value of securities traded. This sector's prominence in trading activity reflects its significant role in the market dynamics observed during the session.
