Bahrain All Share Index Closes Lower Due to Sector Declines

Manama: Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,943.86 points, marking a decrease of 1.40 points below the previous closing. According to Bahrain News Agency, this decrease was due to a drop in the consumer discretionary sector, the materials sector, and the consumer staples sector. Meanwhile, the Bahrain Islamic Index saw a slight increase, closing at 925.26 points, which is 0.12 points higher than its previous closing. The results indicated that 156 equity transactions took place, with a volume of 3,351,926 shares, amounting to BD 999,575. Investors were primarily active in the financials sector, which accounted for 80.15% of the total value of securities traded.
