Bahrain Affirms Support for Qatar Following Iranian Attack

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on recent events, highlighting Bahrain's support for Qatar following an Iranian attack on Qatari territory.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini government has expressed full support and solidarity with Qatar in light of the recent developments. This stance was reiterated by the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, both of which affirmed their parliamentary support for Qatar.

In addition to its diplomatic actions, Bahrain has taken significant steps to ensure regional stability and cooperation. The Ministry of Interior issued a safety advisory on emergency response protocols and called for reduced use of main roads amid regional security developments. Furthermore, Bahrain and the UAE have strengthened their cooperation in emergency and disaster management.

The Bahraini Civil Aviation Affairs announced the complete reopening of the country's airspace, marking a return to normalcy in aviation operations. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry has successfully repatriated 1,215 Bahraini citizens from countries affected by current developments.

In other news, His Majesty the King issued Law (28) of 2025 and Law (29) of 2025. Additionally, His Majesty held a call with the Amir of Qatar, further underscoring the diplomatic ties between the two nations. The Deputy Prime Minister chaired the weekly cabinet meeting, where these issues were likely discussed.

On the economic front, the Industry Minister participated in both the Saudi Industry Forum 2025 and the Bahrain-Saudi Industrial Integration Meeting, signaling ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties within the region. Moreover, Bahrain participated in a GCC Financial Intelligence Units meeting and a country visit to China as part of the UN anti-corruption review mechanism.

Educational initiatives were also highlighted, with the Education Ministry and Skills Bahrain conducting a workshop to support student development and career pathway guidance. Additionally, the RHF took part in the 2025 ECOSOC Humanitarian Affairs Segment, contributing to humanitarian discussions at an international level.
