Manama:Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, the Minister of Information, stated that Bahrain is advancing its proactive and integrated media and communications approach, aligning with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Information Minister explained that this approach emphasizes preparedness, rapid response, and coordination. It aims to ensure the availability of reliable information and effective communication with citizens and residents, while supporting the Kingdom's security and stability.
During the Iranian attacks, Bahrain's media system adopted a proactive response, providing accurate information promptly and maintaining constant communication with various media outlets. The system also focused on countering misinformation and reinforcing the role of official sources to promote public awareness and reassurance.
Coordination between the Ministry of Information, the National Communication Centre, and other relevant authorities facilitated rapid information sharing and consistent media messaging. Over 1,800 statements and news reports were produced, with daily communication maintained with more than 1,400 media professionals.
The media network engaged with over 350 regional and international media organizations, delivering 108 media briefings in both Arabic and English. These efforts were supported by Bahraini media professionals, who worked diligently to ensure accurate information dissemination and public awareness.
Dr. Al Noaimi underscored the significance of further developing the government media and communications system and investing in national talent to enhance its effectiveness under various circumstances.
