Muharraq: The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has announced that final preparations are underway for the launch of the fourth edition of the Muharraq Nights Festival, which will be held from 1 to 30 December 2025. Developed according to a comprehensive timeline, this year’s edition aims to deliver a renewed and unique cultural experience.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the city of Muharraq is preparing to showcase its historic landmarks and narrate its rich stories as part of a major event on Bahrain’s cultural calendar, welcoming visitors from within the Kingdom and abroad throughout December.
Festival activities will run daily and feature a diverse range of cultural and artistic experiences, including live musical performances, within the Pearling Path site.
The Muharraq Nights Festival reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to cultural activity as a key element in strengthening national identity and preserving heritage. It coincides with the Celebrate Bahrain season.
Festival activities will take place throughout the Pearling Path site and its surrounding historic buildings, which have played an important role in shaping the national memory of Muharraq. Extending 3.5 kilometres through the heart of the historic city, the programme offers visitors an experience that combines authenticity and deep-rooted history, moving between houses and squares that reflect the cultural life of Muharraq. The experience is enhanced by visits to stations along the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pearling Path and to the historic alleys that are part of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network.
The Muharraq Nights Festival presents a varied programme encompassing art, design, crafts, children’s activities, food, music, and tours.
