Audit offices to face action for alleged violations

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has referred two audit offices to the Auditors Disciplinary Board following violations related in the auditing.

In a statement, the ministry stressed it would spare no effort to check all abuses and deal with them in accordance with the provisions of the law, in a way that enhances transparency, sustainability and confidence in the commercial and economic conditions in Bahrain, contributes to attracting investments, and enhances the reputation of the Kingdom.

The ministry called on audit offices to comply fully with professional norms, regulations and legislation regulating their work as auditors in Bahrain.
