Manama: Arabian Gulf University (AGU) is set to inaugurate four major institutional initiatives next Wednesday, including its Strategic Plan for the 2026-2030 period, a new institutional identity, a digital transformation initiative, and a human resources development program. These initiatives aim to drive institutional transformation and bolster the university's capacity to address future higher education needs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the launch event will be held under the patronage of AGU University President, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fahaid. The projects form an integrated vision to advance academic, administrative, and research performance while enhancing the university's regional and international competitiveness.
Dr. Al Fahaid highlighted that these initiatives represent a significant step in the university's evolution, enhancing its ability for ongoing development and establishing a more effective and adaptable operational system. This will further support AGU's role as a prominent Gulf academic institution in education, research, and innovation.
Dr. Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al Otaibi, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research, noted that the projects aim to refine the university's operational system, improve output quality, and prepare AGU to meet future demands in higher education and scientific research.
AGU considers these initiatives as a cohesive package designed to improve the efficiency of its institutional systems by developing strategic frameworks, establishing a modern institutional identity, upgrading technical infrastructure, and improving service quality. This also includes developing human capital and strengthening governance practices, which are crucial for achieving the university's goals and ensuring its future readiness.
