Manama: Isa Al Arabi, President of the Arab Federation for Human Rights (AFHR) and Chairman of Together for Human Rights Association, has voiced his support for the recent actions taken by Bahrain's Ministry of Interior. These measures follow the discovery of a group associated with Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the ideology of Wilayat al-Faqih, as well as the arrest of individuals involved in activities jeopardizing the Kingdom's security and stability.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Arabi highlighted that the investigations have revealed significant signs of espionage for foreign entities and participation in activities designed to destabilize Bahraini society and its national unity. He emphasized that Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, continues to maintain a balanced approach, protecting national security while safeguarding rights and freedoms, grounded in the Kingdom's dedication to justice, the rule of law, and respect for human dignity.
Al Arabi praised the security operation, stating that it demonstrates the advanced capabilities, readiness, and professionalism of the Ministry of Interior's security authorities in addressing complex security and ideological threats. He remarked that this operation emphasizes the authorities' capability to counter organizations with foreign agendas and extremist ideologies that threaten Bahrain's security and stability.
He noted that the Ministry of Interior's announcement underscores the security and ideological challenges Bahrain faces amid current regional developments and Iranian provocations targeting the Kingdom and GCC countries. Al Arabi stressed the necessity of protecting national identity and community values from extremist ideologies, as well as preventing the misuse of educational, religious, charitable, and social platforms for promoting extremism, hatred, or foreign agendas that threaten national unity and social cohesion.
Al Arabi reiterated his complete support for the legal and security measures taken by Bahrain to safeguard its national security, commending the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. He also praised the government, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its role in enhancing security and stability, fostering development, and protecting society from extremism and foreign interference.
Al Arabi underscored the significance of increasing public awareness, reinforcing the values of national belonging, and strengthening community solidarity to confront challenges that threaten Bahrain's security and social cohesion.
