An escaped lion resting near a house in the Yarmouk neighborhood in Baghdad

The Capital, Baghdad, witnessed, on Monday morning, the presence of a predatory lion that had escaped from its cage and settled on the outer fence of the walls of one of the residential houses in the Yarmouk neighborhood area, west of the capital.

The eyewitnesses did not disclose the origin of the escaped lion incident, which was circulated by pioneers and activists on social media sites and platforms, while the local police were informed, who used a special veterinary patrol to arrest the lion until its original owner was known and the reasons for its escape were verified.
