Ambassador to US meets Jewish community in New York

(BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, met, during his visit to New York City, a number of Bahraini-Jewish families residing in New York, and several members of the Jewish community in New York who had previously lived and worked in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The discussion revolved around the concept of a culture of peace, freedom of religions and beliefs, and peaceful coexistence.

The Ambassador expressed his great pride in the lively environment and openness in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing that the Kingdom has become a role model for promoting the concept of the culture of peace, freedom of religions and beliefs and peaceful coexistence, which is the authentic Bahraini approach laid down by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with his insightful vision, praising the tangible role played by the Jewish community in the Kingdom and its good contributions to supporting the comprehensive development process.

Representatives of the Jewish community shared their experience of living in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the Kingdom’s rich history regarding the concept of the culture of peace, tolerance, freedom of religions and beliefs and peaceful coexistence, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the most welcoming countries to all religions around the world, expressing gratitude and appreciation for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his interest in the affairs of the Jewish community, and His Majesty’s directives to continue communicating with the children of Bahraini-Jewish families residing abroad, and for what the Kingdom provided to them during their stay there.
