Paris: Essam Abdulaziz Al Jassim, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to France, participated in the Global Forum, organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in France.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the forum reviewed the dual impact of government support programmes on global trade, supply chains, and industrial sectors, and discussed the role of international cooperation in avoiding harmful 'subsidy races.' It also calls for a balanced approach to developing innovation, ensuring equal opportunities, and enhancing access to global markets.
Participants also addressed the indirect effects of subsidies on global prices, with calls for open dialogue among stakeholders to promote inclusive economic opportunities worldwide.
