Manama: Al Noor Charity Welfare opened its annual Ramadan charity exhibition, "Ahlan Ramadhan" (Welcome Ramadhan), at its headquarters, in the presence of Her Highness Shaikha Thajba bint Salman Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, President of Al Noor Charity Welfare, stated that the exhibition was organized on the society's initiative, with the Bahraini-Omani Entrepreneurs Association invited to participate. She emphasized the presence of Her Highness Hujaija bint Jaifar bin Saif Al Said, CEO of the Bahraini-Omani Entrepreneurs Association, as a reflection of the strong ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.
Shaikha Lamia highlighted that the continued support of HH Shaikha Thajba bint Salman underscores her commitment to promoting local products during Ramadhan and fostering wider participation and innovation in future exhibitions. She also mentioned the Welfare's dedication to involving Omani businesswomen annually to enhance cooperation and future partnerships, noting that the range of products enriches the exhibition and reflects the quality of craftsmanship.
She further explained that the front section of the exhibition is dedicated to Al Noor Charity Welfare and its committees and centers, including the Elderly Centre and the Quran Memorisation Centre. The proceeds from this section support the Welfare's charitable projects. The exhibition also showcases the participation of Bahraini and Omani businesswomen, highlighting the close cultural ties between the two countries.
Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Welfare, remarked that the exhibition aims to support families in need during Ramadhan through food baskets, financial aid, and other assistance. She noted that the involvement of Omani businesswomen and associations emphasizes the strong ties between Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
HH Hujaija bint Jaifar expressed that the participation provides Omani women entrepreneurs with an opportunity to exchange experiences with their Bahraini counterparts and explore future partnerships. Dina Issa Al Zain, founder of "Takkya Oman," remarked that the products on display combine Bahraini and Omani traditions, and the strong visitor turnout reflects the exhibition's success and the quality of the products.
Omani fashion designer Amal Al Jamali shared that her participation marked a new milestone in her career, noting that her work gained wider exposure, including her opera dress design. She highlighted that her designs feature gold and silver printing techniques and gold-coated handbags that reflect Omani identity in a modern style.
Hanan Saif, Chairperson of the Public Relations and Media committees at the Welfare, stated that this year's "Ahlan Ramadhan" exhibition exemplified charitable work in Bahrain in terms of organization and the diversity and quality of exhibits. She praised the high turnout as a sign of the exhibition's success.
She also acknowledged that the success was made possible by the support of HH Shaikha Thajba bint Salman and the leadership of Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed and Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa, commending their roles as leading figures in charitable and community work. Additionally, she praised the active participation of the Bahraini-Omani Entrepreneurs Association for enhancing community partnership and cooperation in support of charitable initiatives.
