Manama, Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyed conveyed condolences from the Grand Imam Sheikh of Al Azhar His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the passing of Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
Dr. Al Sayyed also conveyed condolences from Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb to the Government and people of Bahrain and to the deceased’s family.
Dr. Al Sayyed held a meeting with Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb at Al Azhar Al Sharif to discuss the programmes and achievements of the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charities.
Dr. Al-Tayeb paid homage to the deceased, recalling his dedicated efforts to promote peaceful coexistence, as chairman of the board of trustees of King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence.
In his tribute, Dr. Al-Tayeb highlighted the deceased’s role in promoting the values of coexistence, tolerance and peace, as well as efforts to build bridges and bolster interfaith and intercultural dialogue. .
The Grand Imam prayed to Allah the Almighty to have mercy upon the deceased, rest his soul in vast paradise and give his family solace and fortitude.
