Manama: The Bahrain International Exhibition “Mara’ee 2025” concluded, following several days of specialised activities and programmes. The event attracted a wide range of visitors and participants from within the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad, reflecting the growing regional and international stature of the exhibition.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, said that the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was a key factor in the success of Mara’ee 2025 and contributed to its strong presentation, reflecting His Majesty the King’s ongoing support for national initiatives to enhance the Kingdom’s food security.
Minister Al Mubarak noted that the exhibition aligns with government directives under His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which prioritise food security within sustainable development efforts. The government has implemented these directives through targeted programmes and initiatives to enhance the food security system and support the achievement of sustainable development goals.
The Minister also highlighted the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Honorary President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, whose facilitation of the exhibition at the Bahrain International Endurance Village played a key role in its success.
He added that “Mara’ee 2025” reflected the Ministry’s efforts to advance food security, with Bahrain focusing on investing in related activities, supporting farmers, adopting modern technologies and best practices, and promoting knowledge exchange. He noted that the Ministry has launched a series of initiatives to create an integrated environment for achieving strategic goals in this area.
On his part, Asim Abdullatif Abdullah, Undersecretary for Agriculture Affairs and Animal Wealth, said that the exhibition provided a comprehensive platform combining scientific, investment, technical, and recreational aspects. This reinforces the Kingdom’s position as a preferred international destination for exhibitions and underscores its leading role in the sector.
He added that the ministry continues to support private sector participation and encourage investment in areas related to food security. He highlighted that this edition of the exhibition showcased several successful initiatives and provided promising opportunities for investors and stakeholders.
Abdul Latif commended the exhibition’s success in attracting companies and investors, highlighting the efforts of all committees and teams that presented the event to reflect Bahrain’s aspirations to enhance food security and sustain its agricultural resources.
