Abdulrahman Showaiter Named First Bahraini in Geospatial World 50 Rising Stars 2025

Madrid: Abdulrahman Showaiter, the Head of Cadastral Data and Development at the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), has been named the first Bahraini to be listed among the "Geospatial World 50 Rising Stars 2025" by the international organization Geospatial World.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Showaiter received the award during an official ceremony in Madrid, which was part of the Geospatial World Forum. The event attracted over 800 participants from 70 countries and featured 300 international speakers. Showaiter was recognized for his leadership in strategic projects related to land surveying and digital transformation in Bahrain. His initiatives include the introduction of 3D property registration, development of regulations for gated communities, and enhancement of spatial databases to aid efficient decision-making.

Basem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, President of the SLRB, met with Showaiter to congratulate him on this achievement. Al Hamar emphasized that this recognition highlights Bahraini talent and its capability to achieve international acclaim. He pointed out the importance of innovation and technology in preparing the sector for ongoing advancements in land management and geospatial systems.

Showaiter expressed his pride in representing Bahrain as part of a team dedicated to progress and smart transformation. He thanked Al Hamar for his support, viewing the award as a testament to Bahrain's progress in geospatial data.
