A distinguished Iraqi presence at the Isis Performing Arts Festival in Cairo


The Egyptian capital, Cairo, hosted the activities of the Isis Festival in its second session, in the presence of an elite group of female directors, writers, actresses and technicians representing seven Arab and European countries, including Iraq.

Iraq presented a theatrical performance entitled (I Am My Face), written and directed by the great star Awatif Naeem, which achieved distinguished attendance and admiration and received attention among the recipients and the management of seminars and the introducing the biographies and movements of the founders of the Iraqi theatre.

Women are the title of the festival, as she bears her name, which is the goddess Isis in Egyptian mythology. The festival is directed at women who work in the field of (theatre), and theatrical performances, workshops, and applied and introductory seminars are dedicated to women.

It is noteworthy that the festival gains its uniqueness, in that those who thought of it and sought to establish and launch it are Egyptian women working
in the field of teaching art and promoting culture.
