A Citizen In Diwaniyah Hands Over 336 Artifacts To The Competent Authorities

The Inspector of Antiquities and Heritage of Diwaniyah, Bassem Al-Shammari, announced on Sunday that 336 antiquities had been received by a citizen.

Al-Shammari said in a statement today that the artifacts consist of copper and silver coins, saddlebags and ornaments, in addition to hand tools of different sizes and shapes dating back to different periods.

Al-Shammari indicated the need for cooperation between the inspectorate and the citizens in the governorate in order to preserve the antiquities and heritage of the city.
