49th GCC Extraordinary Ministerial Council Meeting Convenes in Doha to Address Iranian Missile Attack on Qatar

Doha: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), announced that the 49th Extraordinary Meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council will be held on Tuesday, June 24, in Qatar. The meeting is set to address significant regional issues, particularly focusing on the Iranian missile attack targeting Qatar.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting will be chaired by Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, who is currently presiding over the Ministerial Council. The Foreign Ministers of the GCC states will also be in attendance, demonstrating a united front in the face of regional challenges.

The Secretary General highlighted that the council will focus on the recent developments concerning the Iranian missile attack on Qatar. This discussion is intended to reinforce the GCC states' collective support for Qatar, underlining that the security and stability of Qatar are integral to the overall security and stability of the GCC region.
