Zondoma: The High Commissioner of Zondoma Province, Aboubacar Sidiki Nab©, commended healthcare workers for their efforts in serving the population amidst the insecurity. This occurred during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Gourcy Medical Center.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the solemn ceremony of raising the colors for the month of May took place at the Medical Centre with surgical unit (CMA) of Gourcy, under the chairmanship of the High Commissioner, Aboubacar Sidiki Nab¨. The event was carried out by members of the Republican Security Company (CRS) and witnessed a significant presence of local forces.
The High Commissioner began his address by congratulating the gathered forces for their mobilization, highlighting the importance of the activity. He extended his gratitude towards the health workers led by Bassana Constantin Bationo, the Chief Medical Officer of the Gourcy health district, for their dedication to serving the community even in insecure areas.
During the ceremony, the High Commissioner encouraged the population to explore the province's tourist attractions, such as the Birigui Julien Ou©draogo Museum and the Naaba Baongo Grove. He also mentioned the challenges posed by recent terrorist incidents but expressed optimism about the arrival of new agricultural volunteers. Furthermore, he praised the province's representatives at the National Culture Week (SNC) for winning a bronze medal in traditional wrestling.
Before concluding, the High Commissioner emphasized the importance of resilience and support for the country's authorities in their pursuit of sovereignty and development, signaling a continued commitment to future progress.
