Youth Minister Reviews Youth Innovation and Excellence Committee’s Initiatives at Works Ministry

Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, met with members of the Youth Innovation and Excellence Committee at the Ministry of Works to review its initiatives and ongoing projects.

According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, Minister Tawfiqi expressed her appreciation for the Ministry's support of youth initiatives, highlighting the importance of translating the strategic objectives of the Daem Al Shabab (Youth Supporter) initiative into impactful programmes that contribute to national development.

The Youth Innovation and Excellence Committee presented the pillars of its strategy, including its vision, mission, values, and goals, and highlighted key achievements and future plans. The committee is preparing a comprehensive action plan with active participation from the ministry's youth employees. This plan aims to enhance their skills, empower them, and foster a spirit of initiative and innovation.

Minister Tawfiqi emphasised the importance of intensifying efforts to empower Bahraini youth at all levels, enabling them to play an effective role in serving the Kingdom. As part of these efforts, the Ministry of Works inaugurated the "Youth Corner," a dedicated space designed to nurture the talents of young employees and encourage them to present innovative ideas and initiatives. This initiative aims to create a supportive and flexible institutional work environment that promotes professional and psychological well-being while fostering creativity and innovation among youth.

The meeting and initiatives are in alignment with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, regarding the formation of a youth committee within the strategic plan for youth empowerment.

Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, highlighted the ministry's commitment to supporting Bahraini youth and engaging them in decision-making processes. He stressed the importance of providing opportunities for youth to showcase their creativity and skills in strategic projects that align with the National Strategy for Youth Empowerment and the Daem Al Shabab initiative. Al Hawaj also commended the Ministry of Youth Affairs for its role in supporting youth initiatives across the Kingdom and praised Minister Tawfiqi for her continued follow-up and encouragement of these programmes.
