Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, participated in the "Arab Mosaic" event organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs to mark Arab Youth Day, with the participation of young people from the Kingdom of Bahrain and across the Arab world.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event formed part of the ministry's efforts to strengthen communication and cooperation among Arab youth and to promote the values of unity, belonging, and shared Arab identity. The minister highlighted the significance of Arab Youth Day as an opportunity to recognise the vital role of young people in shaping the present and future of Arab societies. She noted that joint programmes and initiatives help strengthen ties among Arab youth, foster cultural exchange and mutual understanding, and support greater cooperation and integration across the Arab world.
She also reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting initiatives that nurture young people's creativity and provide platforms for them to express their ideas and talents. She noted that such initiatives help identify and develop young talent while strengthening cultural and civilisational links between Arab countries. She added that investing in young people's creativity and encouraging their participation in joint initiatives reinforces Arab identity and enhances their role as active partners in development and future-building across the region.
The event featured a creative workshop at Mosaic House, where participants from Bahrain and other Arab countries collaborated to produce artworks reflecting the cultural, artistic and heritage landmarks of their respective countries. The workshop concluded with the creation of a collaborative mural incorporating visual elements inspired by the participating Arab states, symbolising unity, solidarity and the shared heritage of the Arab world.
Participants praised the event for providing a valuable platform to celebrate Arab Youth Day, encourage creative expression, strengthen understanding among Arab youth, and facilitate the exchange of experiences and successful youth initiatives. They also commended the Ministry of Youth Affairs for organising initiatives that expand opportunities for cooperation and promote young people's active contribution to building a more connected and prosperous Arab region.
