Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received the heads and representatives of social and cultural youth associations and clubs that were recently transferred under the Ministry's supervision from the Ministry of Social Development, following Edict (45) of 2024. Minister Tawfiqi emphasized that social and cultural youth associations and clubs are key partners in developing Bahrain's youth sector and implementing initiatives tailored to Bahraini youth. She highlighted the Ministry's commitment to supporting these organizations to ensure a sustainable impact on youth and society.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister highlighted the achievements of youth centers under the Ministry in advancing youth work and empowering young people. She noted that transferring social and cultural associations and clubs under the Ministry's purview would enhance collaboration and align efforts with the National Youth Work Strategy (2023 - 2028).
She also underlined the role of these associations in identifying and nurturing talents, developing skills, and implementing diverse activities to promote leadership and creativity among youth. During the meeting, the Minister discussed with the representatives of the associations and clubs ways to strengthen partnerships with the Ministry, ensuring the delivery of programs and initiatives that meet youth aspirations. They also explored methods to support these initiatives, exchange ideas, and develop future activities to enhance youth leadership and creative skills and encourage active participation in shaping the future.
The representatives highlighted their commitment to continuing efforts to elevate the youth sector and promote Bahraini youth's achievements through programs that align with the vision and mission of the Ministry of Youth Affairs.
