Youth Minister Engages in Hope Network Dialogue Session on Youth Competitiveness

Dubai: The Global Network for Youth Competitiveness, known as "Hope Network," in collaboration with the Arab Youth Centre, organized a dialogue session focused on fostering hope for future generations. This event took place on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit at the Etihad Museum in Dubai and was attended by Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, the Minister of Youth Affairs, along with members of the Hope Network and youth leaders.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Tawfiqi emphasized that youth development is a strategic priority, advocating for a transition from long-term visions to the redesign of policies, institutions, and partnerships. She highlighted the Hope Network, launched in November 2024 as a Bahraini initiative, as a collaborative platform for policymakers, institutions, and youth leaders to transform hope into actionable systems, policies, and opportunities. The session aimed to encourage strategic dialogue on innovation, policy readiness, participation, wellbeing, skills development, and trust-building.

Fatima Al Hallami, CEO of the Arab Youth Centre, remarked that the Hope Network was initiated by Bahrain's Ministry of Youth Affairs to unite leaders and decision-makers in addressing youth challenges amidst a changing world. She pointed out that the session's theme reflects a strategic shift towards viewing hope as a practical measure of policy effectiveness and youth engagement.

The dialogue covered topics such as innovation and artificial intelligence, youth participation, policy readiness, mental health, quality of life, and the trust between youth and institutions. Additionally, it reviewed the Hope Network's objectives and operational mechanism.
