Youth Minister Discusses Enhancing Cooperation with Ernst and Young Bahrain

Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received Essa Al Jowder, Managing Partner of Ernst and Young Bahrain, to discuss strengthening cooperation with leading global professional services firms to support and develop Bahraini youth.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister emphasised the Ministry's commitment to expanding collaboration with youth supporting institutions across various fields. She highlighted the importance of formalising joint initiatives with Ernst and Young to help develop the skills of Bahraini youth and prepare them to enter the labour market with confidence and competence, in line with the Ministry's strategy to empower youth and provide them with practical skills.

The meeting reviewed opportunities to deliver specialised training and professional programmes aligned with the company's areas of expertise, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of national talents.

Al Jowder commended the Ministry's programmes and initiatives, emphasising Ernst and Young's keenness to support youth initiatives by offering specialised and integrated training programmes that enhance skills and expand professional prospects for ambitious Bahraini youth.

He also introduced the Minister to Maha Al Jishi, who won first place in the Local Coach Excellence competition and second place in the Young Tax Professional of the Year 2023 competition, and Fatima Al Alawi, who achieved first place at the Middle East level in the same competition, organised annually by Ernst and Young Global to honour young talents in the field of taxation.
