Manama, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, met with a group of young people as a part of the Hadith (Conversation) initiative by the ministry, which is a youth discussion platform that allows them to share their opinion on different topics.
The minister said that Bahrain’s strategy towards youth focuses on the investment in the capabilities and energies of young people, out of the belief in their potential to communicate, innovate, enhance the Kingdom’s competitiveness, follow up with development aspirations and ambitions in various fields, and enhance opportunities to advance their capabilities and projects.
She underscored the importance of meeting young people through ‘Hadith’ initiative, which comes within the Ministry’s approach to engage with youth and learn about their proposals envisioning the future, discuss ways to empower them, and design programs and events that are compatible with their ideas.
Tawfiqi said that the upcoming stage will focus on the vision of youth, and motiva
ting them to advance their abilities, intellectually, creatively, and productively, develop an action plan and provide a proper environment for young people to be effective contributors to the development of society.
The meeting discussed topics of interest to the youth, as the Minister listened to the youth’s vision and aspirations for opportunities that enhance their skills and knowledge.
