Youth Affairs Minister Engages in Workshop on Enhancing National Identity Programme

Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, attended part of a workshop held via video conference by the Ministry of Youth Affairs with the participation of young people. The minister engaged with participants and commended the level of interaction, noting that the programme contributes to strengthening national identity and reinforcing young people's connection to Bahraini culture and heritage. She highlighted the role of such initiatives in supporting the development of a generation that is confident in its identity and able to express itself through its national language and cultural context.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme is a national educational initiative aimed at young people, designed to promote Bahraini identity through interactive learning and creative activities. It focuses on encouraging the use of the Bahraini dialect in everyday communication, introducing authentic values and traditions, and incorporating elements of cultural heritage, including stories, games, and traditional attire. It also includes educational activities that reinforce concepts of national identity, as well as field visits to heritage and cultural sites to strengthen participants' connection to their environment and national memory.
