World Governments Summit 2025: Ninth Arab Fiscal Forum Kicks Off

Dubai: The Ninth Arab Fiscal Forum, jointly organised by the Ministry of Finance, the Arab Monetary Fund, and the International Monetary Fund, commenced today in Dubai as part of the preliminary activities leading up to the World Governments Summit 2025.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the forum gathers Arab finance ministers, economists, and officials from international and regional financial institutions. The main objective is to explore strategies to enhance the resilience of public finances amidst global economic challenges.

Discussions at the forum are centered around creating efficient and equitable fiscal policies. These policies aim to address debt vulnerabilities and other future challenges, especially considering the current environment of tighter financing constraints. Key topics of discussion include reforms in subsidies, tax administration, and public sector enterprise management.

The event features four-panel discussions and will conclude with a Ministerial Roundtable session.
