Works Ministry Launches Preparatory Course for Construction Professional Certification

Manama: The Ministry of Works has organised a preparatory course designed to qualify participants for the Construction Professional in Built Environment Projects (PMI-CP) certification, awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

According to Bahrain News Agency, this initiative aims to enhance professional competencies and equip participants with the necessary skills to meet the requirements of this internationally recognised credential in construction and project management.

Mohammed Saleh Asheer, Director of Human Resources at the Ministry of Works, emphasised that this specialised course in construction project management is being offered for the first time in the Kingdom. It forms part of a series of professional development programmes delivered by the Strategic Planning and Project Management Department, which is accredited by the US-based Project Management Institute (PMI) as a specialist training centre for project management and professional certification preparation.

He noted that, through such programmes, the Ministry seeks to strengthen the capabilities of its engineering, technical, and administrative staff in the fields of engineering and technical project management, in alignment with the Ministry's strategic objectives.

Three certified trainers delivered the nine-day preparatory course from the Ministry of Works, all of whom hold the PMI-accredited trainer certification.
