Works Ministry Initiates Construction of Bahrain-Kuwait Health Centre in Qalali

Qalali: Maryam Abdullah Ameen, Assistant Undersecretary for Construction, Projects and Maintenance at the Ministry of Works, announced the start of construction works on the Bahrain-Kuwait Health Centre in Qalali, part of the Primary Health Care Centres network.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the project is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure supporting the Kingdom's healthcare system, with the aim of improving the quality of services available to citizens and residents. The new facility will span an area of 6,828 square metres and will include a two-storey main building. The ground floor will feature 14 specialist clinics, 14 examination rooms, and an emergency unit with 12 beds, while the first floor will house a maternal and child health department, eight dental clinics, and a variety of support and administrative services.

Maryam Abdullah Ameen emphasized that the design adheres to all approved health and safety standards, incorporating advanced engineering specifications, sustainability measures, and green building requirements. Energy-saving systems will be introduced to aid in environmental protection and resource conservation.

The Assistant Undersecretary also commended the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait for its support of this project, highlighting its significant role in promoting national development and fostering public-private partnership.
