WHX Tech Highlights AI-Driven Healthcare Innovations

Dubai: The inaugural WHX Tech, a platform for digital health innovation, reached its midway point at the Dubai World Trade Centre, filled with insights from some of the world’s leading artificial intelligence advisors.

According to Emirates News Agency, with more than 200 expert speakers, 300 exhibitors, and an expected 5,000 global healthcare leaders attending the three-day event, World X Stage hosted the Emirates Health Services (EHS) Al Summit on day two. The forum focused on the transformative role of AI in healthcare and its alignment with the UAE’s national AI strategy 2031. Mubaraka Ibrahim, Chief Information Officer and Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at EHS, highlighted key trends in AI healthcare, particularly how ambient AI technology has reduced documentation by 41 percent, providing clinicians with 22 percent more time for patient care.

Ibrahim stated, “Every citizen may one day have their digital twin, a living, breathing model of their health, tested, treated, and optimized before a doc
tor even prescribes medication.” She emphasized that AI aims to enhance human capacity rather than replace it, restoring humanity to the core of healthcare.

PureHealth, a prominent UAE healthcare provider, introduced Pura, an AI health companion app already accessible to over 600,000 people. The app integrates tele-consultations, lab results, wearable compatibility with 95 percent of devices, and a wellbeing rewards system. During WHX Tech, PureHealth showcased new features, including an AI-based nutrition program and a home blood sample collection service. Mark Maycroft, Associate Director of Digital Partnerships at PureHealth, stated their goal is to make healthcare more accessible and bridge the gap between clinical healthcare and everyday fitness and wellness.

Peter Hall, President, Middle East, India, Trkiye, and Africa at Informa Markets, remarked on the event’s success, noting that WHX Tech is proving to be a platform for collaboration, partnership, and future health-tech innovation. He expressed con
fidence that the inaugural edition will continue to grow in the coming years.

WHX Tech is held in strategic partnership with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), reinforcing its credibility and ensuring alignment with the sector’s pressing priorities.
