Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Aymen bin Tawfeeq Al-Moayed, has asserted that the kingdom is strengthening its partnership with brotherly and friendly countries to develop the capabilities of Bahraini youth and find ideal opportunities to train them and give them quality skills that would advance their projects, ambitions and ideas.
The minister was speaking while receiving here today the ambassadors of a number of brotherly and friendly countries, in the presence Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary, Sarra Eshaq.
Addressing the audience, Minister Al-Moayed said: “Through our partnership with the embassies accredited to the Kingdom, we seek to ensure close cooperation in the youth field, exchange experiences and knowledge, and broaden cooperation frameworks to share the successes of the Bahraini model in youth work with friendly countries. We also aim to identify the growth achieved by those countries in the youth sector, which will enable both sides to exchange experiences and build clear youth strategies based on successful experiences.”
During the meeting, the ambassadors were briefed about the “Masari” (My Path) project, which aims to refine the capabilities and skills of youth and develop their talent through a series of initiatives and programmes across various fields, in line with the Government Action Plan and the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
The envoys were informed about the objectives of the “Masari” programme aimed at developing the capabilities and skills of young people in general, developing their high skills, increasing qualitative opportunities for them, and qualifying them to face various challenges and succeed in them.
This will be achieved through the provision of scholarships and experience exchange programmes at the best educational institutions and universities in the world and activating partnerships with non-profit organisations to enhance future skills required in the labour market and provide vocational training programmes at international companies, in order to gain practical experience, in addition to creating a culture of experiential learning through the implementation of exploratory programmes in all countries.
The minister discussed with ambassadors and representatives of embassies the training opportunities their countries provide, and Bahraini youth can benefit from them, in line with the goals and values of the Masari programme, in addition to aspects of joint cooperation in the youth field.
Minister Al-Moayed valued highly the positive interaction of ambassadors and representatives of embassies with the idea of the Masari programme, stressing that this cooperation establishes future partnerships to serve the youth sector in each country.
