Washington – Together – The United States said that it wants the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution that supports the proposal to end the fighting in Gaza through a ceasefire agreement and the release of detainees.
US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield said, “Many leaders and governments, including leaders in the region, have supported this plan, and we call on the Security Council to join them in calling for the implementation of this agreement without delay and without other conditions.”
